Would you like to know everything you need to know about financial aid?

Then you may appreciate this.
For more than 20 years, I've been speaking to parents at the "Financial Aid Night", sponsored by their student's high school. Usually, it's mostly senior parents with a sprinkling of 9th, 10th and 11th grade parents thrown in.
At most schools, attendance at these events is just a fraction of the high school families, and I get why. I've been a senior parent twice. Sometimes the timing is so inconvenient. The 7 PM start time – I already know what that means. It means I won't get home before my bedtime ;-) And after a long day of carpool, work, etc, I know I'm not the only one weighing whether the information shared is going to really be worth my night.Â
During my talks, folks take photos of slides and request copies of my ...slide deck. And I've never been willing to share it before... until now.
Now, I am finally ready to share, via my new course, Ultimate Financial Aid Night: The Proactive Parent's Primer.
Ultimate Financial Aid Night is an expanded version of the same information and wisdom that I've shared, for more than 20 years, during my in-person presentations to high school parents. Ultimate Financial Aid Night takes all of the information available about how financial aid works and delivers it in a clear and concise manner. Instead of spending hours and hours down the financial aid rabbit hole, spend 90 minutes with me and come away confident and ready to attack the financial aid action items.
I decided to create this course for several reasons:
- More families need this information. This isn't the same old financial aid night with someone explaining how to fill out a form.
- Sometimes the timing of my speaking engagements meant that even senior families didn't benefit as much as they could have from the information they learned. (With this course, you can get educated while you can still potentially do something before the "cement dries." This is a reference from the class.)
- It's more convenient. My hope is that convenience will translate into more families by getting this information sooner. There's no excuse to wait until senior year. The earlier you know this information, the better you can prepare.
- Taking this course is way better than getting my slides. Not only do you get the slides, you also get the explanations, and a Q & A that you can refer to over and over if needed.
I'm launching this course at the end of August. So, if you have a high school student, join the waitlist. If you know someone with a high school student, be sure and share this page with them!Â
